এট্রিবিউট কি?

আমরা জানি এইচটিএমএল মূলত কিছু ট্যাগের সমষ্টি। আর এট্রিবিউট হল এসকল ট্যাগের নিজস্ব বৈশিষ্ট্য। যেমন একটি মানুষের বৈশিষ্ট্য তার নাম, বয়স , চামড়ার রঙ ইত্যাদি, ঠিক সেরকমই। কোনো একটি ট্যাগের এট্রিবিউট অন্য ট্যাগের এট্রিবিউটের সাথে মিলতেও পারে আবার নাও মিলতে পারে। আবার কোনো একটি এট্রিবিউট অন্য ট্যাগের নাও থাকতে পারে। একটি উদাহরন দিলে ব্যাপারটা আরেকটু ভালো ভাবে বোঝা যাবে।

এখানে <body> এবং </body> ট্যাগের মধ্যে এইচটিএমএল কোড লেখা হয়েছে। এখন যদি <body> ট্যাগে নিচের মত লেখা হয়।

এখানে bgcolor বলতে বোঝানো হয়েছে ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড কালারকে। আর bgcolor=”gray” এর মাধ্যমে ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড কালার হিসেবে ধূসর রঙ নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। এই যে <body> ট্যাগের ভেতর bgcolor কথাটি ব্যবহার করা হল এটা হল <body> ট্যাগের এট্রিবিউট। এই bgcolor এট্রিবিউটটি যে অন্যান্য সব ট্যাগেরও থাকবে এমন নয়। যেমন <a> ট্যাগের bgcolor এট্রিবিউট নেই। উল্লেখ্য, <a> ট্যাগের মাধ্যমে কোনো একটি লেখাকে লিঙ্ক আকারে উপস্থাপন করা হয়। এই ট্যাগেরও একটি এট্রিবিউট আছে তা হল “href” , এই এট্রিবিউটের মাধ্যমে লিঙ্ক এড্রেস নির্ধারণ করা হয়। যেমন নিচের উদাহরনটি লক্ষ্য করুন।

এখানে <a href=”http://www.google.com”> click here</a> এর ফলে নিচের মত পাবেন।

অর্থাৎ, click here লেখায় একটি লিঙ্ক তৈরি হল। এখানে ক্লিক করলে www.google.com পেজটি আসবে। কেন? কারণ, <a> ট্যাগের ভেতর href এট্রিবিউটের মান হিসেবে নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে  http://www.google.com” যার ফলে বোঝানো হচ্ছে যে লিঙ্ক তৈরি হবে তাতে ক্লিক করলে যেনো ভিজিটর www.google.com পেজ এ চলে যায়।
